How Does It Work?

Are you looking for a fun, family friendly experience that will help feed those in need? We have just the project. Yad Ezra and Metro Food Rescue are teaming up for The Great Apple Rescue of 2022. The idea is easy. Go pick some apples; in your neighborhood or anywhere in the community.

Drop the apples off on either Sunday Oct 9 or Oct 16th at either Yad Ezra or Temple Kol Ami. You can also join us on Oct 9 next to the Oakland County Farmers Market where we will be picking from 30 trees on the property.

The amazing jam makers at Gus and Grey will be turning all the rescued apples into a special run of apple butter and donating 100% of the profits back to feed our neighbors in need.
