Metro Food Rescue and Sharing Excess Produce Terminal

In partnership with Sharing Excess, Metro Food Rescue is honored to announce that we have opened a brand new Produce Sorting Terminal downtown in Detroit! The produce we receive is sourced locally from the Detroit Produce Terminal and then taken back to our facility for sorting. Once on site the pallets of produce are broken down, split into orders and sent out for distribution to our network of Feeding Partners! We are truly lucky and fortunate to have the ability to rescue such high quality food and use it to feed our neighbors in need. This produce terminal is another small piece to help fight food insecurity throughout Southeast Michigan. Thank you to everyone that has worked hard to help make this dream a reality and for allowing us to Waste Less & Feed More!
